History of Gold River Dental

Gold River Dental was started in 1986 by Dr. Paul Cripe. The original office was located on Zinfandel Drive, but moved to its current location in Gold River in 1995. Dr. Cripe aimed to bring quality dental care to the greater Rancho Cordova area through strong connections with his patients and gentle dentistry. Dr. Bafford works to keep the traditions of Gold River dentistry going through personable and exceptional dentistry.

Our Approach

Quality dental care starts with a comprehensive patient centered exam. Gold River Dental strives to understand the whole patient and their dental desires. We aim to involve the patient in each step of the process; determining what diagnosis the patient has and what treatment is needed. We use state of the art radiographs, thorough exams to find out what problems exist and how to best manage them.

DENTIST / OWNER

Dr. Corey Bafford

Dr. Bafford was born and raised on the East Coast. He did his undergraduate studies at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, VA and commissioned into the U.S. Marine Corps upon graduation. He served in the Marines for 11 years, deploying numerous times throughout the globe and even living in Japan for 2 years!

After much thought, he made the decision to leave the military and pursue dentistry, graduating from University of Illinois - Chicago. Dr. Bafford has a deep passion for dentistry and loves being able to help patients find their smile. He is always learning and is active in continuing education programs including Spear Education, Implant Pathways and other educational programs.

When not active in dentistry, he can be found coaching his sons youth soccer team, helping his 3 year old daughter pick out a proper fitting tutu or walking on the local trails with his wife and kids.
